I'm thinking about buying a 2006 Dodge Stratus with the 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine are they good cars I've heard they have problems with the front main seal leaking oil is that a common problem? Or is it just few and far between?

 

If you buy it make sure to change the timing belt every 50,000. My timing belt skipped time and bye bye valves. 1400 between getting the timing belt and a remanufactured cylinder head. It was going to be about the same as getting my current cylinder head fixed. Another place wanted 900 for timing belt and 2000 to do the valves. I think I may also have a rear main seal leak.

Just if youyou buy keep up the maintenance.
