I have a 2001 dodge stratus with the 4 cylinder. I recently got this code and the A/C nolonger works on the A/C settings. the compressor runs fine, and still works on defrost. The code is Engine Hot Lamp Output Control Circuit Malfunction. Idk what that has to do with the A/C, but i feel like this is the issue. If anyone could help me, that would be awesome!

 

which model do you have sedan made by dodge or coupe( mitsubishi ) totally different vehicles . I've never seen or heard of a 655 code tried searching couldn't find anything, have you done anything recently to car ? ,if you have a sedan you could try pulling fuse #5 in dash for 10 minutes ,put fuse back in start car let idle for 5 minutes then check a/c sometimes the body control module/heat and a/c needs recalibrating
