I found an 01 Dodge Stratus RT with a sunroof at a junk yard and am wondering, if I could just replace the roof to add a sunroof to my vehicle. Anyone have advice or experience in this?

 

You could replace the whole roof, but realize the roof forms an integral part of the vehicle structure and it must be done correctly or you risk ruining the rigidity and structural integrity of the entire vehicle. It would be simpler and cheaper to have an aftermarket sunroof installed by a competent installer.

 

I had an aftermarket one in my 02 Intrepid and that thing not only leaked but broke later even though I didn't use it very much. After my 99 LHS, I hope that I never have another car with a sunroof. It doesn't seem to matter what brand you are talking about, they will all eventually leak.
