Power steering
I'm having a problem with my power steering. It's makes no noise but when I come to complete stop it's hard for me to turn but at speed it's fine. It just started today please help. It's a 2000 dodge stratus 2.4L 4 cylinder. Idk why I'm think restricted return line or something. Like I said the pump don't make a squeeling noise. So Idk
Something inside the power steering pump could of malfunctioned or broken entirely. The fact it's hard to turn at low speeds means you are not getting power steering assist. Usually low fluid would make the pump groan if you turned the wheel. Which you said it doesnt? Then That leaves two options.
1. Accessory belt is gone. Turn on your air conditioning. Is it blowing cold air? If so, that's not it.
2. The first thing I said. Something made the pump fail entirely. Take it off, install a new one (or old one at a salvage yard) and if it works there you go.
If not, and you don't have a giant leak, then I have no idea. Maybe pressure.
