Just bought mine saturday-- it has 58000 miles on it-- my question is I've read some posts about what to look for before buying and timing belt change at 60,000-changing cracked motor mounts etc...... I was wondering if someone could let me know if there is a way to see if these things have been done to the car before I purchased probably not but ya never know-- the previous owner had some kind of alarm or something that the button still exists but doesn't do anything so I was wondering if any mods were done but don't know what there is and how to look for them-- I only received one key and no keyless entry fobs were these standard?? I have a 2001 Stratus RT coupe-- sorry for the rambling and thanks for your help

 

im pretty sure that remote entry was standard on the RTs

 

it should have two keys and two remotes. if it was certified preowned the dealership should have to make or get them for you. for a car to be certified it has to have two of each.

and congrats youre going to love the car.

 

When I bought my first one brand new it came with 2 keys, 2 remotes and 1 valet key. You cand find the remotes for about $20 on e-bay and the dealer can set it for you, I believe about $30. If you buy the remote from the dealer it's more like $80.

 

if you know someone in the service department, you can get it done for free. only takes 2 dam minutes.
