Hey guys just wanted to see if anyone is still rolling around in a Stratus R/T Coupe, I've had mine just about a year now and I just redid the original clutch this week, it made it to 126,000 before it started slipping. Other than that, tires, brakes, struts, front suspension, and regular oil changes and I feel like this is my budget sports car and definitely the more reliable of my two, considering my 97 Dakota has over 230,000. Just needs a tune up at some point. I know here in metro NY, I am yet to see any of these cars, maybe a couple of the older gens. These cars are the last of the Moparbishi's and definitely something of a rarity. I got mine for under $3,500 and I searched a lot to find my Indy Red, black leather, 5 speed, sunroof car. To be honest I have people ask me what kind of car it is and think it is brand new, now to get my head out of the clouds, is anyone else still into it?

Just started doing work to mine. Did brakes, rotors, bought struts for the rear, gonna do a couple axles and the passenger steering linkage. Have the front suspension but I'm a total scrub with car repairs so have to find someone to compress those springs that owns a cage for the job. Also doing the hub assemblies to get the platform to really glide
Burning more oil than I'd like so I'll be going thru the engine. Throwing a gross leak code that a new gas cap didn't fix so I'll have to track that down.
Other than that: very fun ride. Nice on the inside, I have the black leather and sunroof as well, but on the 4spd automatic, yuck. Plenty of punch in the 3 liter. Basically an SOHC 3000gt. If this thing was RWD I'd sink every cent I have into it! Definitely an oddity and I'm surprised they decided to brand it as a stratus. I have the 04 model. This one sat for a while in myrtle beach so the rubber seals got kinda dried out and crappy, my oh my.
Awesome man, glad to know I can at least find someone who is still using one daily and might have some insight. As far as the oil leaking, I searched on club3g.com and found out most of my oil leaking towards the rear was most likely from the distributor o ring. I had the air cleaner and battery out anyway so I ordered a new one, mine was hard as a rock and broke just trying to remove it, and apparently it's a common problem so I'd take a look.
And you're not kidding if this thing was RWD, I'd go crazy, for right now with the new clutch I'm taking it easy but after repairing the suspension and going for alignment the car rides beautifully. At 130,000 I might do the tune up, luckily my mom works at a Dodge dealer and helps me get a lot of the hard to find parts including these special keys, the motor mounts i needed, and that o ring, I'll have her order me the stuff and after that, besides looking to take the dash out and have it redone, I think I'm good
