Ohhtay, I'm gonna look into prices on wheel bearings and maybe get on that in the next week or two. Already bought the Hayne's manual for it so I'm set.

Thanks!

Well that noise is back on my car. Let me know if replacing your bearing works. Thanks

I still have to replace mine. I went to dealer and they told me it comes as a bearing and hub assembly and part is about $70 but i am not sure which side it is coming from. Can they tell by looking at them???

You cant really tell by looking at it if it is bad unless you have it off in your hand. The best thing to do to find out is get the car up on jack stand so both front wheels can spin freely, run the car in drive and listen to each front wheel to see which one is making noise. I've seen both sides go at the same time.

I was driving my car today and I heard a sqeaul or rubbing noise in steering. When not even moving and you turn to left and let go you hear it. I checked power sheering looked fine. Could this be tied in with the hub because I hear the noise coming from passenger side when turning the wheel??

Replaced front left wheel bearing/hub today on the 96 Stratus. Surprisingly easy to do, car came apart without much fuss even though it is ten years old in the 'rust belt'. Thought about doing it without removing the whole knuckle, but I though better of it since I'd be banging stuff around the CV joint etc.

$82.99 at AutoZone. I'd recommend picking up 3 new mounting bolts for the bearing hub, seems to be a dealer only part cause of that female Torx head. I plan on picking some up pretty soon and swapping out the ones I reused.

I brought my car into the dealer. They couldn't find the sqeal or noise over 30mph. They think the noise in my steering when moving left to right is the internal seal on the rack which means replacing the whole rack for $1200 which is not worth it since car drives fine but makes noise.
