Default I'm repairing ... slowly

If anyone has been on here a while they might have seen the thread about what a PITA this car is.
The transmission does not start acting up until the fluid no longer reads on the dipstick which led me to finding the leaky cooler line.
I'm just finishing up replacing the transmission cooler line that runs from the transmission to the radiator. Let me put it this way, no one at the Dodge dealer has ever done one. You have to drop the front engine cross member to get the line out. during this I found out the front motor mount had fallen apart as well so I bought a new front and rear.
In case I didn't mention it before, the valve covers suck so make sure you follow the in-lb torque spec. I also put the front cover on with RTV because it leaks so bad there is oil running down the exhaust manifold.


I also came across a parts website that has reman oil pumps for the 2.5 listed for $65. I'm thinking of picking one of those up to see if it fixes the constant oil pressure light. Don't worry, it's been on for 5 years now and I've checked and verified everything.


Stay tuned I'm sure I'll fond more. What a terrible yet dependable car.
