Car seems to run rough
Greetings Dodge Forum,
I have a 2002 dodge stratus SE 4dr sedan 4cyl. I keep the fluids changed and I just replaced the spark plugs about 4 months ago, but the car seems to run rough.
Can anyone tell me what could be the cause of the rough sounding engine and what can I do to get the car to run smoother (stealthier) than it is now. I know it wont sound like it came of the manufacturing floor, but I would like for the car to run better than it is now.
Any suggestion would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi JKeaton,
I will attempt to describe what's going on the best I can. upon acceleration the car growls; Grrrrrrrrrrrrr, And this happens even after the has warmed up and without putting my foot hard into the accelerator. It also happens if I want to go from one speed to another gradually pressing the accelerator. I don't know how it sounds outside of the car but it sounds bad from inside the car. I have driven other late model cars and they don't sound like that. they still sound "new". A more subdued rev and not a "GGrrrrrrrrr".
don't know if any of that makes sense.
Thank
Ron
