A.C Blinking
I have a 2003 Stratus coupe, 3.0L
The A.C is always warm, tried recharging the Freon at my mechanics and that didn't work, they told me that my compressor went out and Needs to be replaced, but that's a 500$ job. When the A.C wants to work, the "snow flake" button on the fan speed adjuster is solid, but it usually blinks, making it hot air, I was wondering if that really is my compressor, or if it's a electrical problem and my mechanic is just pulling my leg and trying to get me to pay a big bill to make some money.

A.c. blinking could just be a bad ground wire. It can be spiced / from wire loomed. Yet I strongly advise going to the dealer and paying the $310 for the correct part. As this wire is actually you main neg that attached to your battery then runs to a bounding clamp right next to battery then jumps into the main engine loomb only got a couple of short grounds off the engine. Then a short run over to main engine ground. My wife has owned two of the 2002 straits Rt models. And I have done this repair on each the first time I removed the whole intake ect... Just to fix said battery cable. The second time. I found how the cable hides inside that dam loomed and just carefully separated wire as needed and repair only took 1/2 hour or less to complete
