I'm in the process of buying a 2004 dodge stratus it's seemed to run perfect in the test drive but the lady I'm buying it from said that it doesn't happen every day she said it will lose power but if you let off the gas then reapply the gas it will fix itself is 2.4l dohc if that helps anyone know what's wrong with it

 

Could be anything. Could be simple, could be complex. Take it to a trusted mechanic for an inspection. Get is scanned for stored codes.
