Just got an 02 r/t 3.0 w/ 4 speed auto coupe for dirt cheap. Tranny "went out" last week, no problem I can remedy that. Car has 150k miles. Never owned one, never gave thought to owning one, but for my total price to buy it and fix it, and the fact that it should get double the fuel mileage of my truck; I said why not.
What do I need to know about this car? Common problems? Easy upgrades? Best bang for the buck performance and mileage add ons? Etc?

Keep it tuned up, keep the tires properly inflated and a light right foot are the best bang for the buck mods you can do.

 

Anyone know the actual make & model of the 4 speed behind the 02 R/T?
