I have a 05 Stratus SXT Coupe, with the 2.4 Mitsu engine. 23000 miles

The tank holds 16 gallons but I can never put more thatn 13 in. On that 13 gallons I am only getting 19-20MPG mixed 1/4 city 3/4 highway

This is very bad for a 4cyl, I am considering going to my dealer and saying WTF!!!!

My T-type with a 3.8L HO gets an average of 24-25 mixed same ratios.

Any ideas that a can look at myself. and or things to tell the dealer.

On a second note. Is it normal to get clunking out of the front supension. mainly the right front.

a few things..when your gas gauge reads emtpy, you still have 3 gallons left..to fit in 16, you would have to run it out of gas, almost literally. the most that i have ever fit in was around 15.5 gallons. 23000 miles on an 05? thats quite a bit...do you have any mods? even simple stuff? have you had ti maintained properly? as for your t type, if you can get 24mpg out of a buick turbo car, i woudl think that you have some sort of factory freak...that seems VERY good to me.

No mods all stock......except for the airfreshner.

Just replaced the airfilter and did an oil change. Witch I change both every 3000 miles. The car has high miles bought it with 15k on the clock back in June. Got it for a good price though.


My T-Type is a Lesabre not a Regal. I would love to have turbo car. I modified the engine put a larger throttle body on it. and did some porting and polishing custom cam custom headers . dynos out at 225HP 287lbft.

I just filled up again today and I going to watch it this week. Last tank got me 256 miles.

wow..that is bad...under 20, at 13 gallons...does it seem to run ok?
