I took off air bag on steering whell put back on after I changed the rotten rubber washers on the bolts anyway put the air bag back on and hooray the horn stopped honking but then now the air bag light is on anybody know how to turn it off

 

Need to get it scanned for the code to find out what the problem is.

 

yes well thank you for all your help and support I took both the negative side and the positive side of battery off. Also I had researched the web for how to reset the airbag light. Found one that said to disconnect yellow srs connector from fuse terminal and do a procedure I was not too sure of so anyway with the battery disconnected overnight I decided to go ahead and carefully remove air bag again. and well the airbag connector just came off too easy hmm I was so scared of the airbag going off when I put it back on the steering wheel I maybe did not connect it properly. Well so I did connect it properly this time. Then I reconnected the positive and negative side to the battery and then I discovered that the airbag lights up but then goes out. HOORAY I am very relieved I did not pay a shop $100.00 to find the loose connection .
