Hey everyone, just picked up my first ever dodge last night from my mom. It is and has been having power steering issues that i'm not to sure on how to fix. Chevy guy here so i'm going to ask some dodge pros first =) Basically the power steering is intermittent with both left and right turns. Higher rpms do not make it easier. Basically when making any turns its like someone is turning a light switch on/off over and over. Power steering works for half a second then off then on and off etc. In park I can move the wheel left and right a few inches before its solid while making a power steering whine. ( I would just assume this is the play in the steering components) It almost feels like the belt is slipping? So i'm not sure if there is a tensioner in there?

My mom ended up having some shop replace the belt and she said it felt like a brand new car.. Steering worked great for about a month and then it went back to what it is now.
