2006 Dodge Stratus V6 Engine Light Issue
I own a 2006 Dodge Stratus SXT with a V6 engine. It has 105,xxx miles and
Ive only have had it for little over a year. Over the past 2 months I have been
having an issue with the car when I put it into the drive gear. The car will go
no faster than 20 MPH and the engine light will blink. The first few times the
engine light would go away and the car would drive just fine. Lately, the light
has not being going away on its own and you have to restart the car in order
to have it function properly. BUT it only happens intermittently. I would have
to say it does it once a week at the least. A week ago my check engine light
appeared on my dashboard and has the code P 0457. The light has been on
since.
We are at a loss on what is going on and im afraid of severely damaging the
car. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
