Putting 18s on my 04' R/T, what size tire to use?
Hey guys I am looking to put some 18" Chrome Motegi DPK's on my 04' R/T and the correct tire size would be a 215/45/18 but that is not to common of a size. Has any one tried a 225 on one of these cars? If yes did you have to mod any thing, or did they rub? The only thing that worries me is the strut being in the way to fit a 225 so that is why I am asking. thanks in advance!!

ive seen guys running 245s...on 17 inch wheels...
i have rub marks on my struts from my track tires...
i would go with 215-40-18...215-45 will make your combo a bit taller...and that could create an issue...

Before you put on these 18" rims and tires, you need to also consider the way your car will handle afterwards. Especially if you plan on lowering it or even putting on a body kit.
The Stratus Coupe has one of the worst turning radius's of any car, and putting bigger rims makes it even more of a pain to make sharp or even close turns. My suggestion to you is to keep the 17's and go with a much nicer set of rims and tires as opposed to the 18"
Again, this is just my opinion. My car is lowered and sitting on the factory 17's. I can't even imagine trying to turn this car on 18's or even 20's.
