Default Water pump or alternator?

2004 dodge stratus sxt 2.4 DOHCSudden squeal noise. Battery light came on. Made it 40 miles shut car off, started right back up. Light went off for about 3 weeks. Still a high pitch squeal. Battery light came back on, went back off.
Had it diagnosed. Told me alternator has 68 amp with load. Okay great. But told me the high pitch squeal is my water pump. Said I'm leaking.
Mind you my C&H stays below middle line, coolant level hasn't dropped in reservoir, no sign of leak in my daily parking areas at home or work.
Water pump is timing belt internal driven.
Has anyone ever experienced this? 🤷🏼‍♀️

If the diagnosis is a failing water pump, then I'd go with that. Replace the timing belt and tensioners while your at it.
