Default Please help timing

I have a 2005 with 2.7. I changed out water pump. I started yesterday at 11am and worked thru the night.

I put that crank mark on the arrow. I put the copper link there. The one cam arrow I pointed straight up and put 2 copper links. The other cam has a dot I put straight up and copper link there.

I put everything back together and sounds like I had no compression. Tear it back down....the crank and cams are still timed. The copper parts of the chain aren't even close. Like I spun the chain. The tensioner was out. The car never started, it didn't make a noice or anything crazy

I've been working on this straight thru the night. I'm not at home, can't get home till I fix this.
.I'm at a loss.

Default Jesus

So in all the videos I watched did any of them show a GROOVE in the crank to time it. I saw a line there about 45 degrees off.

Did I just totally fry my motor or has someone done this before?
