I have an 04 Stratus SXT Coupe with a 2.4l L4. I had a p0401 code so I replaced the EGR valve. After putting the new valve on my car started and had a slight rough idle and would rev normally in park or neutral but when put into any drive gear like reverse drive 1st 2nd 3rd it would start idling rougher than in park or neutral and cannot be revved past 2000 or 2500 RPMs. I've checked fuses plugs and even reran my vacuum lines numerous times to no avail. Is there something I can check or do to narrow the issue down? I've considered even putting the old EGR valve back on the see if the new one is malfunctioning. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

My car idled low and acted like it had a cam when idling, and it ended up being the nipple on the EGR solenoid broken. Easiest view and access is under the car. Other wise you'll have to pull the battery and battery tray and work blind and with a mirror.
