Stratus question
Hey guys, i'm new to the group just for this one question. Thanks in advance.
I have a guy interested in buying my '99 Stratus. It has a bad head gasket (runs but overheats within 5-6 min) but is otherwise great condition, no dings or scratches that are noticable without getting within 6" of the paint job. The car has 95k miles on it, pw, pl, cruise, and an aftermarket cd player that was a little over $200 by itself (not that reall matters, but...). How much should I ask for it. I am not a mechanic and have no idea what it would cost to fix. I do know that Kelly Blue book puts it at $3,025 in fair condition, but with the engine issues I know it worth much less. Is $1000 realistic? More... less? I would say I'd have to get at least $500...right? Thanks for your input.

i would "ask" $1500.00 for it.i bought a stratus like yours with fuel pump problems for $500.00 and sold it for a $1000.00 after i fixed it. i had my stratus for 3 weeks before i fixed it and $500.00 was a hella deal for a good running stratus. definitly at least $500.00!!
