My coupe has been squeaking around a lot lately, and I'm pretty positive its the struts. I'm going to take it and have it looked at just to be sure. I was wondering if anyone has replaced theirs anytime recently and what kind of hassle/pricing you dealt with?

I was told that in the cold weather they will squeak until they warm up, but I think the rear sets may be going bad.

 

About 60-70 percent of the post I read talk about the motor mounts squeeking when going bad, so be sure to chek there as well.

What I'm hearing is a majority of it coming from the rear of the car.....but I will be having the car looked at this weekend so it will be something I will ask to take a look at as well...

 

when working as a mechanic, every strut that i have seen "go bad" begins leaking...

 

I've actually seen KYB struts that did not leak oil, but did loose the nitrogen pre-charge.
(so although rare, tis possable)
