The left-front axle on our 2002 R/T keeps popping out of the transmission. The first time it happened, we found bad transmission mounts and replaced them. However, it is still happening. When we install the axle, it appears to slide all the way into the transmission, yet it pops out after driving only a few feet.

What are we missing? Is there a trick to axle installation?
