Cylinder misfire?!
Hey everyone, I am a newbie here. I
I have a 1996 Dodge Stratus 4 cylinder 2.4 L with about 155,000 miles on it.
The problem I am having seems to be a cylinder misfire. When I took it to Autozone and hooked it up to the diagnostic test it read a 300 and a 301.
My car was idling quite roughly and when I accelerated it would miss and then clear up in a few seconds and run normally. This happened eveytime I had to stop at a stoplight or stop sign.
I had all four of the fuel injectors changed and it seemed to help a little, meaning it didn't misfire quite as much.
Then I had the spark plugs and wires changed and it almost entirely cleared it up.... it has only misfired once since then, but the engine still doesn't have the get-up-and-go that it used to. (I was also told that the spark plugs look as though they were running "lean" what does this mean?)
The CHECK ENGINE light is still on.
I am very frustrated because I don't want to keep taking it to the shop hoping that they will find the problem. It is very expensive.
Help me! I really love this car and it has been really reliable up until now.

Lean is never a good thing. If the person telling you that knows what they are talking about, then you need to get going on this ASAP.
Some possible ideas:
Check you air and fuel filters. Make sure you installed the right injectors, check your fuel flow and fuel pressure. Maybe even make sure your TPS is adjusted right?
I would think TPS and O2 sensor would give you a code, otherwise lean running could make them suspect.
