Default Cold air Vs V2 intake

I'm planing, like everyone else, on buying an intake. I know there is about 1000 posts about intake and what works and what is the best. I was on NOPI.com and i found a V2 intake for the 3.0 Eclipse. That should fit, right? But my big question is that if there is a huge difference between a regular cold air intake and the V2. Or should i just get a plain 'ol short ram air?

first question, where do you live that you have a skyline, and do you have pictures? I am a fan of nissans...

second, there is no difference from one cold air intake to the next. they all look the same, because they are all the same. i bought a cheapo CAI on ebay, and then bought a good K&N filter, and it is no difference performance wise than a 300 dollar name brand intake.

Also, there isn't a noticeable difference over the stock intake either. I've had the stock swapped out with the AEM Ebay knockoff twice and can't decide how to go. Right now I have the stocker on with a FRAM Airhog filter in. *shrugs*

hmm..i find that to be interesting, because my car is faster on the track, and gets better mileage with the K&N/CAI...

it takes about a week to get used to it. shifting with my left hand was hard at first, plus 1 gear is in the same place as any other tranny. So i shift from out to in rather in to out, so that was wierd. All in all its worth the experience to drive on the other side of the road, it took me almost 2 weeks to remember that in the states, you drive on the right side of the road, so i did scare my paretns a few times..hehe.
