Spark Plug Change HELP!!!!!!
I know this is a really easy question for all the dodge experts in this forum, but being a newbie to the 4 cyl. world. I need help. 2.4L DOHC Sedan. I'm only trying to change the spark plugs. They have never been changed and I've got over 50000 miles on it. Do you have to take the intake manifold cover off to get to the spark plugs or can actually pull the boot off without removing the intake? I pulled and pulled, at the same time trying to be careful enough not to damage the spark plug wires and still no results. Also, new to me is that the engine is really a Mistubish based engine. I bought Autolite spark plugs, because I thought it was an American vehicle. Should I get different spark plugs now? Thanks for you help, plz.
P.S. I did read the post about changing spark plugs in the Stratus R/T 3.0L. I don't really know what the engine looks like in that so I can't really relate. It's also a V6. Help.

i cant find a picture of the engine bay of the 2.4, but im about 99& sure that the plugs are exposed...if you have the long spark plug boots like we have in the RT,which i think that you might, youll just need to use some elbow grease and pull them out.
Thanks so much for the help guys. I'm going to tackle the job again tomorrow with a new set a plug wires too just in case I tear the boot off, I won't have to worry about repairing it. Thanks again. I hope to have many more questions in the future.

The 2nd 3 plugs are under the intake runners.
