i bought a 1996 Stratus almost a year ago now and have never used the a/c and i went to use it the other day and all i got was hot air so i bought a r134 refill tank and hose w/ a gauge and filled the system back up and i still hav eno cold air... so then i bought the leak detector and out that in and i have no leaks that i can find and i have looked for them w/ a fine toothed comb.... any ideas as to what it could be? thanks inadvance for your help.

 

Hello. I had a similar problem with my 03 Stratus RT. Turns out it was the control ****. Since the fan and other controls worked, I never thought it might be bad. I was able to push on it (actually smacking it) and complete the circuit, turning the A/C on. You might want to give that a try to see if the problem is in the A/C panel. Mine was covered under warranty so I can't quote a repair price. Hope this helps.....Bob
