Hi People, First post here.Nice site. Just bought a 2001 stratus w/ 2.4. I'm a Mobil-1 fan. Was wondering what you thought about going to a synthetic. The car has been on reg oil for 99000 miles now. And what Vis. would you recommend? Also, I read that higher heat range plugs are reccomended. Any truth to that? If so what is the reccomendation? I don't have a manual for this car. I do not recommend a switch to Synth on such a high mileage engine. If the motor was meticulously maintained, and flushed every few years, you might get away with it, but I wouldn’t count on it. Typically you will see several new oil leaks appear. You would also not find any noticeable improvement in performance for the added costs this late in the game.
