Hey all! New to the forum. I am looking to purchase a 2001 Stratus R/T Coupe. Is there anything I should be careful about. Im looking to spend $10,000 with no more than 50,000mi.

hmm...too bad your price isnt higher..i have a 2002 RT with exhaust/intake/trim mods, with less than 40...

you should easily be able to find an 01 for 10g. no problem.

 

I have an 01 r/t, but not looking to sell just yet. As far as performance... I had a small problem with the engine running rough that after three trips to the garage under warranty. after a new set of plugs, fuel filter and PCV valve, they troubleshot down to a fuel pump (inside the tank). Also I've had the paint bubble up the rear c-pillar - repainted under warranty. other than that, it's a great car. wax it often and don't run it too hard-- i've heard the engine of a friend mine's. he drives it like hell and now sounds like crap. by the way, changing the plugs on the rear 3 cylinders is a pain 'cause you have to pull off the intake manifold.[:'(]

 

yeah, i have a 01 r/t and i just got done doing a lot of work to it. i got mine last year at a dealship for right around 10,750 in really good cond. i might be looking to sell mine. i just put a intake/exhaust/by-pass valve/air-feul ratio gauge. let me know how your looking goes. goodluck!

 

i run the hell out of mine...and ive enver had a problem, except for some problem with the number 2 plug, but that wwas easily fixed.
