is replacing the cap and rotor hard on the 01/RT? DARN THESE JAPANESE ENGINES!!!

might want to look under your hood and see if your car has a cap and rotor (most likely not). most all modern cars have done away with them and gone to computer controlled spark. i have an 02 4dr strat (not even the same car!) and it don't have a cap or rotor (nor does my 96 neon). if you want to do a tune up change the plugs, and filters, no need for cap and rotor anymore. good luck.

 

the mechanic at the dealer said there was a cap and rotor. He said it does have a distributor...

ask your local parts store how much it costs, if it has a cap and rotor it takes MAYBE 5 min to change. they can help you do it, good luck.
