Greetings...

I have a 97 Dodge Stratus ES... It has just shy of 180,000 miles... It has been my little work horse till recently... It has begun losing power/stalling... It first started as a power loss.. and by that I mean I would be on the freeway and all of a sudded the tac would drop to nothing ... I'd be pressing or pumping the gas and it would be slowing down.. It wasn't quite stalled because I still had power steering.. I'd keep pumping the gas and it would all of a sudden speed up.. and the Tach would go back to operating RPM... My husband tried to tell me it was stalling but restarting.. But sometimes it does actually stall.. I lose power steering and everything have to restart in neutral on the fly or pull over and restart it.. .Well most recently it has been different..

It will do the lose power thing for maybe 10 seconds won't accelerate and I have to pull off.. It will stall and then it won't restart for around 5 minutes... The kicker is that this only happens within the first 10 miles of my journey then it doesn't do either again!

If you have any insight please advise.. I'm baffled by this...
