Suspension clunks every time I hit a bump
I have a 97 breeze, 2.4 that makes a clunking noise every time I hit a good size bump. Ball joints and lower control arms check out ok...front bearings seem to be ok too. Any ideas?

Try this, pull the wheel and grab the brake caliper. Can you move it easily?
It should be tight, with a little flex, but not more than 1/8".
If so, I'll bet the brake pads are jiggaling in there, which is caused by the
rubber boots for the slider pins getting sloppy. Pull the caliper, push the pin(s)
out of the boot, then push/pull the boots off of the caliper. Replace the boots.
Bendix makes front pads with 4 different size spacer clips to make sure the pads
fit the caliper/spindle perfectly. Been there, got the t-shirt, quiet at last.

BTW, I thought the front swaybar links were lifers on these cars, unless it was wrecked.
