CV joint locations on 2004 Stratus Sedan
Hi again everyone. Whenver I turn left, I note a popping noise. I have a feeling it's the CV joint, but honestly I am not sure of the exact location of this. Can someone tell me where this is located just so I can visually inspect the area to make sure it's lubricated and doesn't require replacement?
I know this is a regular maintenance suggestion in the owner's manual, but I simply don't know the location of these joints. Thanks for your help.

cv= constant velocity joint. just a type of u-joint. on front wheel drive autos each (left and right) side have 2. one right next to the tranny, they will be coverd by a rubber boot with silver bands very close to each end, one by the wheel. you didn't say how old your car is. on my '02 i've had to have the supen lubed about every 15-20,000 miles 'cause of the same type of noise. call the local 10 min oil change shop in your area to see how much they want for a lube. might be a ball joint or something sim. and it's a HECK of a lot cheaper than replacing a cv joint. good luck.
