96/98 pistons

Does any one know what the differance is between 2.4L 96 year pistons and 98. Dodge part # are differant from 96/97 to 98/99 but repair manual states hight,weight, width are all the same. there are no aftermarket pistons and the dodge boys get $318.00 EACH.HELP!
