Default new Stratus/Sebring owner with some questions

ok well we just bought a 2006 Chrysler Sebring with 18k on it and a 2005 Dodge Stratus with 30k on it... i haven't been able to spend any time with them or anything so i've just been wondering...one is how hard is it to change the battery out on the Sebring? cause its in the bumper...and what type oil should i put in it? we're going to be running synthetic in it but what weight? and what type sparkplugs should it use? like OEM champions good or other brands? and any problem areas with the 2.4L's? i know i shouldn't have any right now but in the future...

Can't help you with the battery. I am guessing you have sedans not coupes. Sorry. And I don't know about which synthetic oil weight to use. Just be ready for discovering any oil leaks your car may have had. Synthetic oil cleans the deposits left from the regular oil and these may be plugging leaks. So just be ready and keep a very watchful eye. Also don't forget to change the oil filter after about 2K miles as well for the same reason, the deposits. With spark plugs, always use the OEM Champions. They are cheap, they work perfect, and they are what your car is designed to use. The platium 4's do nothing but make your wallet lighter.

every 2k change the filter? how come every 2,000 instead of the normal 3,000 or even 5,000?

Sorry I ment for the first time, change your oil at 2K, then go start changing it every 3K.

Up to 6,000 miles is fine between intervals on synthetic oil. But yeah its a good idea to do a 2k on the first time. As for the battery you might have to take the wheel off then the wheel housing cover. 5w30 for four cylinder engines and pretty much for the v6 engines.
