Default Stratus Gas Flap

I'm having problems with my Stratus running correctly after gas fill ups and or just taking the cap off and putting it back on.

I noticed today that there is no splash flap in the hole where the put the gas nozzle. My Dodge truck has a flap, but why not the Stratus? Anyone know if there's has the flap? Just trying to figure out what the problem could be with the car and thats one thing different I did notice. Wonder if it fell off inside the tank or something?

i never realy noticed a little flap, i know what your talking about though. what year do you have? i have an 01 R/T coupe. i would look into getting a new gas cap if your having trouble putting it back on. a good seal is important. does your car run ok after a while, like half a tank or does it run bad all the time? if its all the time look into getting a new fuel filter, youll be surprised what a little filter can mess up. hope this helps

I posted the same exact problem earlier.... It stalls just after fill up. I am wondering if the tank is so full there is no air getting in.
I am thinnking a new gas cap that might be vented(if there is such an aminal).

Very strange..

The car only runs rough for maybe five miles, give or take some, but it always runs rough right after a fill up no matter what gas I try or where its from. It never acts up any other time except right after fill ups.

I wondering about a new gas cap also, but first I'm getting it to the dealer sometime next week for a look over. Maybe they have a clue - doubt it, but I'll try.
