Default converting the muffler on the R/T to Infiniti G35

i love the exhaust sound on the infinity G35. im looking to convert my muffler to the G35 muffler. i think the pipes are the same diameter, im thinking all you need to do is wel the new muffler on and brace it like the stock R/T muffler. Has anyone converted thier exhaust like im looking to do? am i better off going to a muffler shop?

The problem with that being that no matter what muffler you put on the Strat, it is never gonna sound like the infinty. The sound of the motors and the rest of the exhaust systems are just too different. The best sound you can get out of a Strat is to have the stock muffler removed and replaced with a straightpipe and a tip, thats it. It's easy to do, cheap and gives the car a really nice sound. The stock exhaust on the car is actually really good right from the factory, and unless you are running headers or some other serious mods, an aftermarket sytem will really not gain you any performance increase
