Has anyone ever had a clogged brakeline? The right rear line appears to be clogged seeing as how when I attempt to bleed it nothing comes out. The clog isn't in the flexline because no fluid comes out of the hardline to flexline connection. Do the proportioning valves tend to clog or is it likeley to be in the hardline?

The other problem is that the pedal sinks right to the floor once the vacuum boost is built up, I can almost get it to the floor unboosted. Would air in the back brake lines be enough to do this? The clogged line won't bleed, and the left rear bleeder nipple has broke off (I'm buying a new wheel cylinder but want to know what's wrong first). Both fronts have been bled and I've already replaced the master cylinder, and I'm 99% sure the vacuum booster's airtight. It seems that having the front's bled properly should be enough to give me some pedal...

 

this is a common problem with these cars, it is caused by the rear brake hoses deteriorating and clogging, i would suggest doing both rears, and maybe even upgrading to a stainless steel set, that should fix your bleeding problem, and firm up your pedal a little

 

Thanks for the help. I found out the proportioning valve wasn't the problem by cracking every joint down the line that would go... only connection that wouldn't break loose was the hardline to flexline :-( first step tomorrow is to try and get that done and replace what needs to be done, already 17 days from registration without an inspection, it's supposed to be done in ten here in NY....
