Thanks for posting. My son accidentally discovered that the Bosch 3421, VW 56A-115-561B, and Napa Gold 1393 have the right threading and seal and can diameters, but after seeing some ominous scratches on the bottom of one of these oil filters, it's back to the old minuscule filter I used on my 2.5L K-car engines. I wish the 2.4 would take a bigger filter, but I suppose it's OK with a 5-qt. sump, no turbocharger, and frequent oil changes, and I do appreciate the ease with one can change the oil on these cars. (My other car is a 2001 VW Passat with the infamous sludge-prone Audi 1.8T engine, so oil and filters are sensitive topics for me!)
