I have a definite lack of ability to control cabin temp in my 01 Stratus SE coupe. You can set the temp control to full hot and it will alternate back and forth between hot and cold, it is vice versa in the summer, setting it to cold will make it cold sometimes, and then like its got a thermostat in the cab it will turn the cold air off and just blow non-cold air.

Is there an interior thermostat in the cabin of the car? The car's water temperature is normal.
4 cylinder automatic if it makes any difference.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

when the defrost is on it also turns on the a/c (this happened around 2000 on most cars) to help keep the windshield from foggin/steaming up. i would check the wires/switch that controlls were the air blows. might have a bad contact or a short that keeps turning your a/c on and off. might be able to find a used **** panel at a junkyard for cheap. good luck.
