Default 2000 dodge stratus running lights problem

Hi, I just bought a 2000 dodge stratus and the running light/instrument panel lightfuse is now blowing out. They used to work fine but now they blow out. I need suggestions on what could cause that. I have disconnected the bulbs (And the entire electrical connector to the back half of the car for that matter, I found it under the back seat) and it still blows fuses. It has an alarm system(haven't tested/don't use it although it does work), an after market radio (that still works even with the fuse blown). Used to have subs not anymore though. I don't know if the cigarette lighter works. The headlights, blinkers, brake, and reverse lights still work. I am hoping that someone has encountered this problem before and can help me to trace it. I simply do not have the money to pay a mechanic $300 to fix a wire... Thanks.

Ok its not the alarm system I disconnected it and it still blew the fuse. I spent 4 hours yesterday trying to find the problem with no luck. If anyone has any idea please help.
