2002 stratus leaking transmission fluid
I have a 2002 Stratus that is leaking transmission fluid. The weird part about it is that it is leaking the fluid from under the very front driver side. I can't seem to trace where the leak is coming from. Does anyone have any information? Do they have transmision filters that need to be replaced?
At firstit seems thatthe leak is at the pan gasket seal, but I believe the solenoid pack is a better bet.
220.00 (solenoid + labor) at Cottman Transmission. They can check it for free.

if you can swing it, clean the eng/tranny of atf (after it's up to norm temp). drive it about 5-10 miles at speeds no greater than 40mph. crawl under the car and take a look. you should be able to tell ABOUT where the leak is comming from.
i once had a '78 volvo wagon auto that had a prob with the trans cooling lines (that ran to the rad) rubbing, wore a hole in one line, had to replace after the duct tape failed for the 100th time.
