2004 Dodge Stratus SE
Hey guys,
I'm new to the forums and I did some searching and couldn't quite find the answer that I need. So I'm here to reach out to the Dodge guys to help me out.
My dad has a 2004 Dodge Stratus SE that he purchased a little bit ago from a government auction. The car is in awesome condition, besides the fact that it has 70,000+ miles (all highway, used by military recruiters state to state). I'm actually quite jealous (I own '00 Vic P.I.).
Anyhow, I guess the fan control inside the car is goofy as all hell. Options 1-3 do not work and only 4 works (which is really annoying if you're listening to the radio and talking to someone else). I was wondering what easy solution I need and if you guys can give me some pointers (I'm not that good with car, I'm know more than an average gearhead).
Also, I've noticed sometimes when you shift from Park to Reserve or to Drive the car really shudders for a split second, are we looking at engine mounts or something else?
Thanks in advance guys!!

At least the fan control issue is a very common one.The part that has to be replaced is the blower motor resistor. DC has designed a new unit so a minor adaptation under the dash board is necessary to have it installed. Cost: around 100 bucks (part included) at any dealer.
I have the same transmission shudders in my SE 2002 with 80 000 on it. Two different trans techs saidtheyare normal.

Thanks for the response!
I got a Dodge dealership close by. What exactly should I do? Call up and ask about the part? Is it fairly easy to replace it? Not quite so and I don't want to look like an idiot, ya know? [8D]
