My dad says that magically the clock and thermometer on the center or the dash stopped working (not even glowing) and the cigarette and a/c jacks arent working either. What should he check to fix it?

Check the Interior fuses first. Find one that seems to run all that stuff and replace it. Even if it doesn't look like it has blown, replace it and see if everything works again.

 

It's more than likely a fuse, and it's probably one under the hood considering it runs the cig lighter.
