99 Stratus ES - power locks alarm issues
I own a 1999 Stratus ES. I few weeks back ,my car, all of the sudden stopped working. It was jumped started and it almost did not make it bAck home. I sat for a week trying to figure out what was wrong. (I'm not a mechanic and did not have money). People would say it could either be the alternator, the computer, the battery and so on as you can imagine. Well i went out and bought a battery and got it replaced and the car worked fine. Yesterday I took my car for inspection and I spent $300 in repairs, brake pads, rotor, etc, none related to the power locks or keyless entry. Then I took it to get the oil changed. Fine, none related yet, I hope, to the power locks.
Anyway, today my car has been acting a little weird. I went into panic, on its own. The horn just beeped and beeped and the lights flashed and flashed. I got the little remote thing and tried to turn it off and wasn't able to. Well it turned off on its own after a while. I went and changed the batteries to the remote thing thinking maybe that was the reason. The remote works better, but my car is still acting weird. When I turn on the car and start driving all the doors lock automatically. Well, after the battery replacement on the key remote, when I turned on my car, it locked my car doors in a weird way, as soon as the ignition went on versus a few seconds after I have driven. It did this about 3 times throughout the afternoon. Then as I would drive, I kept on locking the doors, but the doors are already locked and the horn beeped once everytime it did this, and this happened and happened while I was driving, a short beep. The beep it makes when you lock the car with the keyless remote when you are parked. Thinking it is the remote that is bad, I tried opening my door with the key, It forces it shut. I have to try and try and finally it opens. I do it again and again, the car is forcing the door lock shut and this time I don't play with it, I just force it open and the car went into panic. I was able to shut it off. I don't know what's wrong. Please HELP, anyone HELP>
