I just purchased a 2005 Viper. I love this car! I had a quick question about it though; perhaps one of the members could help me out. This is my first viper, and I am learning as I am going. I noticed that when I driver it longer than a half hour strait, there is a noise coming from the vents in front of the driver side door. It sounds almost like a fan, or something spinning. I did not see any fan in that area, and there is no noise that comes out of the passenger side vent. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is the cause of this noise. It tends to stop between 2-5 minutes. I tried to contact the dealership I got it fro, and did not hear back form them. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Well thanks for the input, starting to worry if this does not happen to anyone else's viper. Was hoping someone could shed some light on what it might be...

 

It might just be the fan, it can be loud.

 

This was wierd the sound was from the side, and not the front were the raditior fan is. Not only that, but I don't think in the gen 3's, the fan would turn with the car off. On a side note, the car has not made the noise the last 4 times I took it out. Really wierd. Taking it up to tator's to see what the wizard says
