Question on what year
Looking at getting new wheels for my 94 red viper, and i am really interested in the orignal 3 spoke look being polished. If that was a ever offered from factory does anyone know what year? Or maybe if someone knows where to get a set. That would be great thanks
The 3 spoke 17" (92-95) did not come polished or plated, only silver. The chrome ones you see every so often were plated aftermarket. The first polished looking wheel was the 5 spoke in 96.
I did not care for the look of the wheels and bought a set off a 02 and stored my originals in the attic.

Outside the normal items, plugs, differential, brake fluid/coolant flush, ect
1. Find out if the head gaskets have been replaced. 94 and older Vipers had an issue with the gaskets failing. Now, this would not seem like to big a issue, go pickup a set of gaskets and spend a day replacing, well.... The gaskets are now in the neighborhood of $900, no that is not installed. They are also hard to come by. If you end up doing this someday you may as well get the coolant hoses at the same time, will be very easy to do at that point.94 mid year they changed the intake from a 4 rib (the metal lines on each air runner) to a 3 rib. It is RUMORED, this change also came with the newer style gaskets. I have yet to see anyone with contacts confirm this rumor.
2. If you do not mind a little smell and noise pull the side sills off and either remove the cats all together or get highflows. It reduces the heat in the sills. Not sure how good of shape your black plastic is inside your door jam but many get ugly due to the heat. The sills also take a beating from the heat. I also made a vent hole in my front wheel well that lets air flow in/out via the wheel well into the sill. Roe Racing makes a nice bolt on system if you want to do this.
3. If you have the stock air filters (mine did and it had 17K), get rid of them! They are very restrictive, you will understand if you see them. Also replacing the tubes from the air intake to the TB's with "smooth tubes" makes for a decent HP increase considering it is a $50-$60 investment for rubber or about $130 for metal/chrome.
4. Tires, if they are original, even if there is tread left, replace them. There has been many horror stories of new low mile Viper owners losing it. While the new drivermany have not been a custom to driving the car and the dos and do nots, the tires also were not as sticky as they were 15 years ago.
Other than that keep it between the lines, thetop and side curtains off and stay out of the rain!
Oh and stick around here. There are many members in MI, of which I consider myselfboth OH and MI since I am basically 10 minutes from the boarder.
Any other Chrysler vehicles?

NO ONE but myself has driven my car and I do not see that changing anytime soon.
