I cant believe that im going to say this being that im a proud owner of a viper and have had 3 other vipers but i would buy the new Z06 CORVETTE before the viper. they really screwed this car up. I saw it at the 05 detroit auto show and there wasnt even a crowed around it. you had to fight just to see the Z06. this car just doesnt look like the GTS that we all love.

 

I thnk it's the price that's wrong. Look at the Vette. You get 500Hp for about 50 grand, compared to the Viper's 500hp at nearly twice as much. The Vette people can actually dream of having, thus the crowds.

Also, I'd never buy a Vette. The bodies are made of fiberglass which is glued to the frame. What a deathtrap [&:]

well hopefully the Firepower Concept will actually be built and with a HEMI tweaked to the same HP as the Vette, then Dodge will be back in the game against the Vette, but at the ever-rising prices of the Viper, Dodge doesnt have a chance. Only thing going for the Viper now is its limited production numbers.
