Dodge Viper - 06 jacking points etc.
Hi everybody,
I am a new member in this community as well as a new Dodge owner.
I am starting the Viper exhaust side pipe thermal insulation project and to get the sills out and work in general I need to jack the car up . Besides the side jacking points, are there front and rear jacking points in this car - where ?
The other thing is to adjust the hand brake. How to do it - any advice somewhere ?
thanks
Martti

Just use the frame to place the jack on. You will need a low profile jack or drive onto some boards.
I am a little surprised you would need to jack it up to get the sills off. I got my GEN I sills off with it on the ground. It is possible if you just need a few inchs you will just need to pull onto some boards. I used a short screw driver when I did mine.

the procedure that you are talking about sounds very complex..and confusing. there are simpler ways to do the same things hassle-free..
But, pls communicate the exact problem to us so that the solution can be given accordingly...

What he is doing is not complicated by any means. Vipers are known for side sill heat. Some add insulation, others add air flow in order to help the ambient heat from getting in the car.
Taking the sills off is an easy procedure. If you can not look at it for 5 minutes and figure it out you probably should not be in a garage. So I guess I am confused by your comment of wanting to know what he is doing? I think he understands it, was just concerned about jacking up the car, which is a PITA.
