2006 SRT-10 COUPE PICS & INFORMATION!
Well....I am disappointed by the new coupe look. I may be the only one that doesn't like it...but I don't. To me...it's lost some of its brutal bad boy looks and therefore some of its identity as a viper. From many angles...it looks very similar to the C6 corvette and to me a Viper needs to be distinctive enough NOT to resemble a vette.
Both Vipers and Vettes are wonderful cars. I have owned and used as daily drivers 3 vettes (last one was a Z06) and now drive a 02 GTS 7 days a week. I am not a vette guy or a viper guy. I buy and use a car based upon how a certain model appeals to me. I bought the Gen II GTS because I didn't care for the C6 vette look or the Gen III Viper. I don't doubt that the Gen III Viper is a superior car to its older sibling in many ways but it doesn't have the curves and visual attitude of a Gen II. Having said all that...I haven't actually seen a Gen III up close and if I saw the Coupe, I might change my mind.

I understand what you feel Steve. There was a comparison done a few months ago here comparing the C6 and the gen 3 Viper. Both looked very similar in several ways that it was just bothering to me. The Viper should be distinct, not a Chevy lookalike. Another thing bothering was the front end of the gen 3. It just doesn't look like a snakes head anymore, it has lost alot of aggresion. The only thing I'm happier with this new Viper is the performance, rims and the engine... everything else the GTS had was probably better.

I disagree with ya'll. The Viper does not look like a Vette at all.
I don't know where ya'll are getting that from.

And about the agressive looks, what more could you want.
They brought back the snake like front and bubble roof.

This is the best Viper yet!

I definitely feel that the Viper has lost a helluva lot of its aggressive, mean looking profile. It still resembles a Viper, but I can see where it's started to mimic in "some" aspects the new Vette. Both have very streamlined dog houses, a bubble style cockpit/interior, and both have very wide rear end stances that end abruptly with a flat rear end.
The Viper still is the Viper, but it has started to truly morph into a more stream-lined car as opposed to the "snake-like" front end it was very famous for. The Viper hasnt become a Vette clone, but it has some similarities, and in that case, the Viper did copy the Vette. I still like the Viper better as far as looks [8D]

With the rear end similarities, the Viper is the only one to have design. The Vette is very plain and still rips off a Ferrari in the rear.
I see the snake-like front. It's there, but they didn't sacrifice aerodynamics this time. Which is a good thing.
Ya know, I still don't see it. The Viper has the most unique styling, but yet is looked at as the copier. The only thing that they have in common, to me, is that they are both aerodynamic sports coupes. They are bound to have similarities. But I think the Viper steals the show.

Well top speed is still 199Mph, 0-60 should be 3.8ish, and power is 510Hp. That's all I am familiar with..
